WHAT GOES THROUGH MY HEAD WHEN DESIGNING YOUR SET
When it comes to eyelash extensions, a lot more goes into it than just slapping some lashes on, if styled the wrong way you can end up with a totally different look than desired. We have to take into account our eye and face shape, the orbital tilt of our eyes, and our eye set.
Looking at the client in the photo I can tell you that she has a SLIGHTLY ASCENDING eye plane, meaning that her outter corners sit a little bit higher than her inner corners.
Next I’m gonna take a look at her eye set. I’ve marked in the photo that she has a PROPORTIONATE eye set, meaning that we can fit exactly one of her eyes in between her eyes.
Now I’m gonna look at her eye shape. This clients eyes fall into the category of an ALMOND eye shape.
Lastly, I’m going to look at her face shape. This client exhibits a DIAMOND face shape, which is one of the two of the six face shapes that signify ideal symmetry. Due to this symmetry we’re just going to enhance what she already has.
Let me quickly run you through what goes through my mind when analyzing your face and eye symmetry to decide what style would best compliment you personally!
WHAT I WOULD NOT DO:
Because her eye planes are SLIGHTLY ASCENDING, adding the longer lengths towards the Center/inner corners of her eyes it would give them the appearance of an awkward tilt.
Also taking into account that her eye set is PROPORTIONATE, adding the longer lengths closer to the inner corners would give the illusion of her eyes being even closer together (which would be most ideal for clients with wide set eyes)
WHAT I WOULD DO:
Because her outer corners are tilted a little higher than the inner, I’m going to simply follow the natural scheme by placing the emphasis on her outer corners.
Because her eyes aren’t too deep set we have a little more wiggle room with lengths and curls, this client personally lovesss long lashes so the lengths used were decided based on that.
WHY ARE ALL SETS A FIXED PRICE?
All lash sets, whether classic, hybrid or volume, follow the same pricing structure. Instead of the usual lash fees, you are investing in an up to 3 hour session with me. During this appointment, we will go through intake and consent forms, conduct a consultation involving a facial analysis to identify your unique features such as face shape, orbital tilt, and eye set. This thorough process allows me to craft a customized set just for you! We will discuss your desired look and address any questions or concerns you may have and then proceed with the eyelash application. This typically takes anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours. The session concludes with optional photos, guidance on aftercare, and ensuring your satisfaction.
PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
It is kindly asked that you come to your appointment free of any makeup, oils, or moisturizers on your face.
CARING FOR YOUR LASHES
+ Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours (including steam)
+ Clean your lashes with lash shampoo 1-2 times per week (more if you wear makeup)
+ Avoid any oil based products around the eyes (oil breaks down the bond of the glue)
+ Avoid sleeping on your face/lashes
+ Lash fills are required every 2 weeks to not only keep your lashes looking fresh, but to also maintain the integrity of your natural lashes.
+ Brush lashes daily and do not pull, pick, or rub the eyes/lashes.
